Studying aerodynamic characteristics with a constant wind
Aerodynamic Wind Tunnel (Aerodynamic Wind Tunnel)

Aerodynamic wind tunnel testing is used to study aerodynamic characteristics (Aerodynamic Characteristics) by installing a model or the actual object in the test section
and blowing a constant wind over it.

Aerodynamic Wind Tunnel test view

The aerodynamic wind tunnel was developed alongside the advancement of aircraft. It is a facility used to predict flight performance by measuring the various forces acting on an aircraft (lift, drag, moment, etc.) before its maiden flight, and to identify and feed back various aerodynamic phenomena not anticipated during the design process.

In the past, wind tunnels were mainly used for aircraft development, but wind tunnel testing has gradually come into wide use in fields other than aircraft as well, and is broadly applied to areas that involve air resistance in actual use, such as automobiles, motorcycles, and railway vehicles.

Recently, aerodynamic wind tunnels are often used for testing or research on a variety of test objects. They are used to study the aerodynamic characteristics (Aerodynamic Characteristics) of model- or full-scale test objects, or to analyze the flow on the surface and inside of test objects.

As industrial wind tunnels, The Whale Corp. successfully completed the HONGJIN HJC model aerodynamic wind tunnel and supplied a research model aerodynamic wind tunnel to Hanyang University, holding abundant design and manufacturing experience and technology differentiated from other companies. We will devote our full efforts to R&D in the aerodynamic wind tunnel field to supply customers with the highest-quality aerodynamic wind tunnels.
